10-Day Tanzania Northern Circuit Self-Drive Itinerary
This 10-day Tanzania northern circuit itinerary self-drive is the most comprehensive version of the Tanzania classic circuit: Lake Manyara, Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, and three full days in the Serengeti with enough range to reach the northern Serengeti (Kogatende) for the Mara River wildebeest crossings in peak season (July–October) or the Ndutu calving plains in January–February. The circuit totals approximately 1,300 km and gives a thorough experience of all four northern circuit ecosystems. A Land Cruiser V8 is required for the Serengeti north (Kogatende road) and the Ngorongoro crater descent.
